Brazilian beverage and soft drinks company Companhia de Bebidas das Americas or Ambev (NYSE: ABV) reported that its third-quarter profit attributable to Ambev holders declined to R$1.69 billion or R$0.54 per share from R$1.81 billion or R$0.58 per share a year ago.
On a normalized basis, profit for the recent quarter amounted to R$1.645 billion or R$0.53 per share versus R$1.82 billion or R$0.59 per share last year.
However, quarterly net sales grew to R$6.37 billion from R$5.98 billion in the year earlier period, driven mainly by price increases. The company’s organic volumes increased 2.9% across regions.
