The high prices of real estate in the city of São Paulo has been stunning shoppers. The most recent survey of the Regional Council of Realtors of São Paulo (SPCreci) shows that the sale of used apartments fell 5.44% in May, while the value of  rose 4.33% on average.
Real estate professionals think the peak has already been reached. “Many homeowners are not aware that we have reached a limit. They look at this real estate boom with enthusiasm and continue to drive prices up. The sellers are lacking market perception.”
One real estate agent says: “Real estate is increasingly expensive and sales continue to fall. Now sellers are asking prices for the middle class that these consumers can not afford”.
