The currency war is playing a major role in determining which currencies rise or fall. The chart below (from FT) showing emerging market currency performance in January shows a clear trend. The Brazilian real was the second best performer, rising over 3 per cent. Investors have noted a shift in tone from the central bank away from keeping the currency weak towards talk of a stronger exchange rate to control inflation.

    Print money, fix your infrastructure, Buy weapons etc.
    Everyone else is doing it.
    Trust no one, especially the Cartel up north.
