Last October, Eike Batista announced the creation of a new company, the 14th of his EBX group, which operates in a diversity of sectors such as restaurants, entertainment, a volleyball team … and oh yeah, we almost forgot, oil exploration. Called SIX Solucoes Inteligentes, the new venture is the result of the earlier acquisition ofAC Engenharia, an industrial automation company.

Now, IBM (yes, the Big Blue) is buying a 20% stake in SIX, the technology unit of Brazilian billionaire Eike Batista, Lauro Jardim reported. IBM has also agreed on a contract worth $1 billion to provide services to Batista’s company for 10 years. Eike will announce the agreement soon.
