Brazil is da bomb!

As a sign of good economic times, Brazil has increased its participation in Forbes list of billionaires: from 30 individuals in 2011 to 36 in 2012. In 2010, the rank included only 18 Brazilians. The assets of the 36 Brazilians listed by Forbes reached US$150 billion, a substantial increase over the US$131.4 billion from last year.

Here are the richest Brazilians, according to Forbes:

2. Joseph Safra (US$ 13.8 billion)
3. Antonio Ermirio de Moraes (US$ 12.2 billion)
4. Jorge Paulo Lemann (US$ 12 billion)

7. Benjamin Steinbruch (US$ 4,5 billion)
8. Aloysio de Andrade Faria (US$ 4,2 billion)
